The November death of an inmate at a Denver jail has been ruled a homicide, according to the Huffington Post. 50-year-old Michael Marshall was arrested for disturbing the peace and trespassing during a psychotic episode. While he was being arrested, he vomited and choked on it, and also went into cardiac arrest. The report released describes Marshall’s death as a result from positional asphyxia and aspiration pneumonia. The six deputies involved in the altercation were placed on restrictive duty, and the family’s attorney is now urging the district attorney to release the video of the incident and charge the involved officers.
