An Amtrak train derailed in Southwestern Kansas on Monday, injuring 30 people, according to the Huffington Post. The train was headed to Chicago from Los Angeles, and carrying 128 people and 14 crewmembers at the time of the crash. Five cars were derailed, though the cause of the accident is not yet known. Thirty people were taken to nearby hospitals, but theirs conditions were not yet available. An earlier report stated that no injuries were considered to be life threatening. The rest of the passengers were transported to a recreation center before continuing on to their destination.
